This campground is a great option for families and adults alike, with a variety of amenities including a pool, basketball court, coin operated showers and laundry, water hook ups, and electric hookups. The pool has a restaurant with reasonably priced grill food and there is also a shop that sells items needed like bathing suits and sunscreen. The campground has pull-in spots for RVs and campers, and there are two port-o-potties that are well maintained. It also comes with two lip balms, some bug spray repellent, and two different salves - a pain relief and a first aid. The campground is located near Great Sand Dunes National Park and has beautiful views of the park and Mt. There is a 21+ Green House section at the pool, and there is a sandwich bar with a wide range of fast foods, including calamari. The campground also has a shelter belt of poplars and trees between the sites, which is a blessing in the middle of the high, flat, mostly treeless, quite windy San Luis Valley.

Truly an oasis in the middle of the scenic San Luis Valley, we offer family fun, relaxation, & rejuvenation for the entire family! We offer a 50 x 100 large family pool maintained at 98 degrees year-round! A large enclosure at one end of our facility assures comfort from the weather & covers our baby pool at the same time. A 25 person therapy pool maintained at 105-107 degrees is also located under the enclosure. Our on-site grille, The Mile Deep Grille is located near the big pool & offers delicious food for any taste! If you are looking to buy a suit, sunscreen, snacks, or an amazing array of jewelry & gifts, visit our on-site Gift Shop located next to the big pool. Water toy rentals are available at the Gift Shop as well! Picnic tables & charcoal grills (outside food is also welcome) plus a 24-foot kids water slide, volleyball & basketball court, & a large grassy area with a creek for the kids offer lots of great family fun! For our guests 21+ and those seeking an adults-only environment, we are proud to offer The Greenhouse—An adults only (21+) area built in our 10,000 square feet greenhouse. Enjoy 4 soaking pools at different temperatures, a 10 person sauna, tropical gardens, patios, upscale Small Plates Menu, & on-site beer & wine bar “The Steel Box Bar”. Not to be missed! For those looking to stay right here, we offer RV spots, tent camping, 3 small cabins & a large family cabin all walking distance to the pool facility. We offer a 24-hour laundry & shower house as well as an on-site dump station. Guests looking for an in-town experience, Sand Dunes Recreation offers 7 beautiful short term rental homes located IN the City of Alamosa. All home rentals include FREE swimming during your entire stay!
