Deer Lakes Campground is located near Deer Lakes and provides fishing access to them. This high elevation landscape is mostly aspen trees. The campground has 12 campsites and offers potable handpump water and vault toilets. There are no reservations, and camping is first-come, first-serve. The fee is $14 per night per camping unit, $6 per day for day use/picnic use if in a campsite, and $10 per firewood bundle. The closest town is Lake City, CO. Campers are required to store food and other items in a hard-sided vehicle or camping units constructed of solid non-pliable material. The campground is operated by a concessionaire. Activities include camping, fishing, and picnicking. RV camping is available, but there are no hookups. There is one accessible site out of the 15 single sites. No water is available for the 2023 season.
