This RV park just outside of Lake City is a great place to explore and experience the beauty of nature. Nestled in a mountain valley and backed up to a beautiful river, the park offers a variety of accommodations including RV sites, tiny houses, big and small cabins, and tent camping. Each RV site is level and has a fire ring and picnic table. There is also a large and well-maintained laundry room with a change machine. The park is close to the Alferd Packer Massacre Site and the 58-mile-long Alpine Loop Jeep and ATV trail. Wi-Fi is available for a fee, but is reliable. There is also a potluck dinner one night and live music on another. Wildlife in the park includes deer, marmots, Stellar Jaybirds, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and bunnies. Golf carts are allowed in the RV park, but all ATVs/OHVs must be trailered due to local highway laws. Reservations are extremely hard to get, so book far in advance. Cash or check only is accepted for payment. Be aware that streaming movies, YouTube, or Pandora are not allowed on your TV or phone, and no bird feeders are allowed due to problems with bears at night.
