Wupperman Campground is a rustic campground situated on the east side of Lake San Cristobal. It is high on the southern cliffs overlooking the lake, offering spectacular views and peace and quiet. It provides a convenient base for sight-seeing, fishing, or four wheeling. The campground offers fire grates, picnic tables, vault toilets, and a dump station. Sites are spaced well apart, and some are situated on top of a hill overlooking the lake. There are no hookups and only pit toilets. Cell service is available, but not 3G. The camp host is friendly and helpful. Lake City is a nice little mountain town nearby, with a great bakery and homemade fudge.

From The Campground
Wupperman Campground is a county-owned public campground located on the east side of Lake San Cristobal in Hinsdale County, Colorado. The campground features 31 sites with excellent views of the lake, available for day use or overnight camping. Various site lengths will accommodate ADA campsites, RVs and/or tents. The campground offers water, trash removal, vault toilets, picnic tables, grills, and fire gates. RV dump is available at the campground for a fee of $10. The campground does not accept reservations, and rates are $20.00 per night. Our campground hosts Tinker & Dave Bell have information available about the campground and Hinsdale County. If you have special needs, please do not hesitate to share with the host to better accommodate your stay.
