Blue Mountain Campground is a National Forest campground located 2 miles south of Lake George, CO. It is a dry camping location with no hookups or dump stations, but there is a hand pump for water near the campground hosts spot. The campground has 20 sites, most of which have ample shade and are well-spaced, providing plenty of privacy. There is a nice trail on the west side of the campground that takes you to an overlook of Eleven Mile Canyon, as well as to Riverside campground on the river. Verizon cell phone service is available in the campground, and there are two vault toilets that are kept clean. The camp hosts are friendly and welcoming, and firewood can be purchased from them for $8 a bundle. This is a great spot for camping, fishing, and hiking, and is perfect for those who want a quieter camping experience.

From The Campground
Riverside Campground is located in Eleven Mile Canyon, Colorado, and offers 18 campsites (11 walk-in sites) for tents and RVs up to 30 feet in length. The campground is situated at an elevation of 8,000 feet and has vault toilets. Campfires are restricted to fire rings only, and dogs must always be leashed. The campground is operated by a concessionaire and reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance during the summer season. Outside of the peak summer season, it is first come-first served.
