Eagle Campground at Carter Lake is the perfect spot for a peaceful, secluded camping experience. With beautiful views of the lake, plenty of deer and wild turkeys, and a private campsite with a fire-ring, its the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The roads throughout the campground are a bit rugged, with steep, sharp turns and potholes, so youll need plenty of levelers on most sites. But the terrain offers great views of the lake and wildlife, and the campground is conveniently located close to the boat ramp and Rocky Mountain National Park. The campground has been recently renovated, with a new shower house with flush toilets and pay showers, and a marina store across the street. Unfortunately, the roads are in disrepair and the campground could use some improvements, but the lake access and views make it worth the visit.

From The Campground

This campground offers campsites for one camping unit per site, with additional ground tents allowed. The maximum number of people per campsite is 6-8 at Carter Lake, Flatiron, Pinewood, and Horsetooth Reservoir campgrounds. Check-in time is noon for campsites and 1 PM for group pods at Sky View, with check-out time at 11 AM. Same-day camping reservations are allowed during regular business hours only.
