Pinewood Reservoir campground is a small, well-maintained campground with beautiful views of a lake and rolling foothills. It is located right past Carter Lake and is a great getaway for those looking to get away from the crowds. The campsites are close together and exposed, but have electric and water hookups. Non-motorized small boats are allowed and there is an easy hiking trail around the lake. The facilities are well maintained and there is a fire pit with a grate for cooking. Cellphone coverage is poor, but HDTV reception from the Denver stations is good. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Colorado foothills.

Pinewood Reservoir Campground is a beautiful camping destination located in Loveland, Colorado. The campground offers electric and tent camping sites, and a campground host is available during the summer. The sites can be reserved up to 180 days in advance at www.larimercamping.com or by calling the reservation call center. Same-day reservations are also available at park visitor centers during regular business hours. The campground offers a maximum of 14 nights stay in any 30-day period. The campground is located near Pinewood Reservoir, which is a fantastic trout lake. Wakeless boating makes it ideal for fishing from a canoe or float tube. Fly fishing is also very popular. Rainbow trout, browns, Snake River cutthroat, and occasional lake trout can be caught from shore or boat. Tiger muskie has been stocked. These fish grow quite large.
