Mueller State Park in Midland, CO is a well-maintained and beautiful park with many amenities. The roads and campsites -- except for the tent sites -- are paved, and all RV sites have electric hookups. The clean camper services building includes showers, flush toilets, and a laundry. The park offers many hiking trails, some of which accommodate mountain bikes, and several geocache sites. The campground has spacious, clean, and mostly level sites, with water spigots available throughout. Although the showers require quarters, the restrooms are nice and clean, and the dump station is well set up for two-way dumping, keeping the lines moving. The park also offers plenty of well-marked trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding, with amazing views. Visitors can get hiking advice at the nature center to ensure an enjoyable experience on the trails. The daily entrance fee for campers is a bit steep, but the parks many amenities make it worth the added cost. Overall, Mueller State Park is a serene, beautiful location that is well worth a return visit.
