This campground is a great choice for those looking for a convenient and close-to-town camping experience. The friendly staff is always willing to help and the park is nicely kept and covered with stone, making it dust free. The sites are all gravel and have split-rail fencing, but they are quite tight, so this is not the place to come for ambiance. The dog park is big, but the trash bin was overflowing with poop filled bags during our stay. The showers are a bit dark and confining, but the sink area in the restroom has been updated with Corian counters. The resort is close to downtown and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and there is a free miniature golf course on-site. Good wireless and cable TV are also available. Be sure to get directions from the staff at the park or use the directions on their website, as Google Maps route is not always accurate.
