What others are saying about this campground
The Montrose - San Juan RV Resort is a campground located off Highway 550 with beautiful views of the San Juan mountains. The campground is run down and in need of a lot of maintenance, with electrical tripping and a lot of sand burs. The manager and family are friendly but the office is often difficult to find when needed. The rules are strict and the manager is known to call the local sheriff to enforce them. The sites are large but the gravel roads are narrow and full of sand spurs. The park does offer some amenities such as a pool, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, a gaga ball pit, playground, and lots of room to have fun. The owner is friendly and WiFi is available. However, the park is overpriced and the pool is not open in the heat. The campground is not suitable for those looking for a complete entertainment package, but rather as a base camp for other activities.
