Chalk Creek Campground & RV Park is a great spot for nature lovers who enjoy hiking, fishing, and rafting in the area. The upper area is more gravel and has full hookups and clean showers/bathrooms, while the lower area is more green and mountainous but only has electricity with shutdown bathrooms and only one outhouse available. Some guests liked the upper area more, while others preferred the lower areas scenery. The park is well taken care of, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The park is clean and easy to maneuver, even for larger RVs. Some guests noted that there was no shade on many sites and that there was some road noise until around midnight. The showers do require an extra charge, but many guests feel that all amenities should be included in the price. Overall, many visitors love the parks location and find it a great value for a camping trip in the area.

The campground is the closest privately owned campground to Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, and they sell discount tickets subject to availability. The on-site convenience shop stocks all the essentials. The campground offers a range of amenities and activities including creek-side RV or tent camping, long-term stays, RV rentals, and an annual Ducky Race. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful mountain views and relax in a site on or near Chalk Creek. The pet area is impressive and well-maintained.
