Matterhorn Campground is a great place to stay for those looking for a camping experience with all the amenities. Located just outside of Telluride, Matterhorn offers full hookups, flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, trash collection, and hook ups for RVs or tents. Tent sites are clear of obstructions and sharp rocks, making for a quick and easy setup. With two loops, campers can choose from either a more wooded or open feel depending on preference. Although the campground is close to the highway, it is peaceful and quiet. The views are spectacular and the fall foliage adds to the beauty of the area. Cell service is spotty, but Starlink works great. Prices are a little pricey at $24 for a tent site, but a great stay nonetheless.
