What others are saying about this campground
The campground has 30 and 50 amp power, water fill locations but no water at sites, some sites very near the water, some shade trees, big beautiful reservoir, very roomy between sites for the most part, gravel drive with gravel spots with weeds, picnic tables and fire pits at the sites, bathrooms were clean and had pay showers, some pit toilets scattered around, easy access off highway and easy to get around. It is a popular spot for fishing and watersports, with a large reservoir and plenty of trees for shade. The campground is beginning to show its age, and the bathrooms have just one shower stall except for the Sandpiper campground. The lake has a large amount of green algae, but is warm and calm. Storms can come up quickly in this part of the plains, so be aware of the weather. Despite the rain, the soil is sandy and dries out quickly. Jackson Lake Campground is a great place to camp for fishing and watersports, with 30 and 50 amp power, water fill locations, some shade trees, a big beautiful reservoir, and roomy sites.
