Angel Creek Campground is a perfect spot for those looking to get away from it all and experience some of the most beautiful nature Colorado has to offer. Located just outside of Ouray, the campground is close enough to the city to be convenient, but far enough away to feel like you are truly off the grid. All of the campsites are right on or close to the water, giving you a chance to relax and take in the stunning mountain views. You may even spot some wildlife, like deer, while youre there! With only two portal pattys, this campground is best suited for those who are looking for a quiet and clean camping experience. There are plenty of trails to explore nearby, and the Ouray Hot Springs are just a short drive away. Be sure to check out Camp-Bells in Ouray for some delicious food! For a primitive camping experience, Uncompahgre is a great choice. The campground is situated right at the end of the Imogene Pass Trail, and there are vault toilets that are well maintained. The sites are well spaced, and the sound of the river nearby is very peaceful. There are also 8 sites at Thistledown campground up the road. For a great camping experience, Angel Creek Campground is the perfect spot.
