GenieSummary
Elk Meadows Resort is a nice RV park located just north of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The campground has gravel and grass roads and sites, with some pull-through and some back-in sites with 30/50 amp hookups. The sites are fairly level and the power and Wi-Fi are strong and stable. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and individual rooms, and the owner and her helper keep the park well-maintained. The grass is watered and green, and there is a lot of wildlife in the area, including a family of prairie dogs that nest in all the campsites. The campground is close to the San Juan River, but the access is down a steep and difficult set of stairs. There is no view of the river from the campground. The campground is along Hwy 160, so there is some road noise, but it is minimal at night. The price is on the high end for the lack of amenities, but it is the best RV park in the area.
