GenieSummary
Lake Pueblo State Park in Pueblo, CO is a spacious and peaceful campground. The campsites are nicely spaced with good views of the lake and sunrise/sunset. Although there are very few trees, the park provides shade screens at every site. The park is known for its beautiful lake, sunsets, and electrical storms. During weekdays, the park is usually empty, making it a great place to relax. The camp hosts are great and always willing to help campers out. There are big cliffs behind the park with trails to explore, and dogs are allowed on the beach. The showers and bathrooms are always clean and well-maintained. One downside is the daily fee of $10 for parking per vehicle, which can make it a bit pricey. However, overall Lake Pueblo State Park is a great place to camp with amazing views and a peaceful atmosphere.
From The Campground
Lake Pueblo has 393 campsites spread throughout three different areas in the park. The campgrounds feature paved parking areas, covered picnic tables, fire pits, flush toilets, showers, dump stations, and playgrounds. The park is located just a short drive from Pueblo City limits, making it easy to access restaurants, shopping, and local attractions.
