The sites are well spaced, and most have a view of the surrounding cliffs. The campground has plenty of trees, but the sites are generally level and have a large sitting area. There are no hookups, but there are bear boxes and vault toilets. The campground is located deep in a valley, so there is no cell service or OTA TV stations available, but there is free public WiFi available in the small quaint town of Redstone. The campground is very peaceful and rustic, and the bathroom facilities are clean and modern. Despite this, the beauty of the Crystal River Canyon makes it worthwhile.
