This campground is a great spot for a peaceful getaway, located right on the Blue River between Silverthorne and Green Mountain Reservoir on Highway 9. Its about 6 miles from Silverthorne and beautiful Dillon Reservoir. There are 24 camping sites, vault toilets, picnic tables and fire pits with grill grates. Each site has a bear proof locker, and there are bear proof lockers at each sight. There are no hookups, no water, and no dump station, so arrive fully loaded with water. There are a good amount of riverside camp sites, some with shade and some with less tree cover. The campground is clean, and the bathrooms are well-maintained. The fire pits have grates on them for cooking. There is a camp host who is friendly and helpful. The campground is close to the highway, so if you dont get a river spot, the noise could be an issue. Reservations can be made online for $22/night plus an $8 reservation fee. Dogs are allowed.
