This campground is located behind a former Travel Lodge and is mostly filled with long-term campers. The sites are very uneven and difficult to level, with no showers or toilets. The dumpster was overflowing, and the provided Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Cell phone reception is almost nonexistent. The rates are slightly higher than advertised, and the staff refused to provide a discount. The roads are poor and unkempt, and the sites are filled with weeds. The neighboring motel offers ice, and Walmart is within a half mile. Continental breakfast is included in the rate, and there is a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. The staff is friendly, and the historic town of Trinidad is only 5 minutes away. This park is great for an overnight stay, but not for a longer term.
