What others are saying
This campground is located just north of Walsenburg at the edge of town, but in the country. It is a Mom & Pop Operation and the owners live on the property. It is good for an overnight stop, but not suitable for an extended stay. The 50 amp service is marginally level, and there is free WiFi. The restrooms are minimalistic and there is no other amenities. The owner is friendly and the site provides a quiet nights sleep. There is road noise and construction equipment on site. It is dry and dusty, but that is likely normal for southeast Colorado. This campground is suitable for a one night stopover, but not for a longer stay.

From The Campground
Dakota Campground is a great stop before leaving the state or heading to the mountains, building your retirement home in the area, or if you're looking for a more relaxing, less crowded vacation. All RV Sites are level, 60 feet long pull-thrus with city water, electric (30 & 50 amp), sewer, and wide for slide-outs on both sides. Separate tenting area with shelter, picnic table and a firepit (when allowed). We have a newly remodeled bathroom and shower facility that also houses our laundry area (washers and dryers). Kids will enjoy our playground. Propane refills available on-site. WiFi is now available throughout the entire campground!
