It is perfect for those road tripping from Denver to Moab or Steamboat Springs, as well as for those looking for a variety of outdoor recreation activities. The amenities are basic but well-kept, with a few electric hookups, handicap accessible non-gendered vault toilets, and a dumpster in the day use area. Although the sites are close together, there is little privacy, but plenty of opportunities to meet new people. With a simple 10-minute meal prep, campers can enjoy delicious meals without needing to clean up a bunch of pots and pans.

From The Campground
Wolcott Campground is located along the Eagle River and is readily accessible from Interstate Highway 70. It is located just to the east of the scenic Red Canyon on Interstate 70. The Wolcott Campground and boat ramp are open May 15 - November 15 annually. There is no reservation system. Campsites are occupied on a first come, first serve basis.
