GenieSummary

Campsites have water and electric, some have full hookups. Sites are large and some have a view of the bay. There is a boat launch and a fishing pier. The campground is well maintained and the staff is friendly. The only downside is the bugs, but thats Florida. E.G. Simmons County Park in Ruskin, Florida is a great place for a getaway. It is a first come, first served campground with large sites, water and electric hook-ups, and a dump station. Many of the sites are right on the water, making it easy to launch kayaks and boats to explore the beautiful mangrove canals and Tampa Bay. There are also plenty of trails for biking, picnic pavilions, and playgrounds for the kids. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The only downside is the bugs, but bug repellent and fans can help keep them at bay. This is an ideal spot for fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the outdoors.
