This campground is a unique combination of camping and marina activities. It is situated right on the St. Johns River and offers great views and access to boating and fishing activities. The sites are level and have plenty of shade trees. There are cabins for rent, as well as a restaurant and bar on site. The campground is home to a mix of permanent and weekenders, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there is a lot of road noise due to its proximity to the highway, and the bathrooms/showers are limited. There are also some people who do not follow the No Smoking rules. Dogs barking at night can be annoying, but there are bear warning signs in the area. The campground is also used by race fans, bike week fans, and boaters. Wi-Fi service is spotty due to a nearby bombing range. Overall, it is a nice, quiet campground that is great for enjoying the St. Johns River.

St. John's River Campground is located in the wonderful river community of Astor, Florida. It features shady campsites just 1/4 mile from the beautiful St. Johns River, which is known for some of the best bass fishing in Lake County and Volusia County, FL. The campground offers full hook-ups for RV's, daily, weekly or monthly rates, and cabin rentals. There is a Recreation Room with Games, A Laundromat & Clean Showers. Just minutes away from boating, shopping, dining & the ocean!
