Pine Island is a small fishing community located about 30 minutes from the closest beach in Cape Coral and 45 minutes from Fort Myers Beach in Fort Myers. It is 17 miles long and has many marinas to launch a boat. Tropical Waters is the campground on the island, with a lot of cute permanent trailers and a nice-sized pool. There are no picnic tables or firepits, but there are a few activities each month. The park is older and has about 150 spaces, with 50 saved for travelers. All sites have hookups and are fairly level. The pool and hot tub are on the small size, but they are well maintained. The Wi-Fi is not great, but there is a monthly package available. The park is quiet and clean, and the people are very friendly. Its a great place to visit friends, see the island, and spend time in the sun.
