The Imperial Bonita is a 55+ park located on the Imperial River, just a short drive from the Bonita Beach, Fort Myers Beach, Lovers Key State Park, and Sanibel Island. It is a large park with nearly 300 sites, mostly Class A and 5th wheels, in addition to wide range and age of park models. The park has suffered a lot from hurricane Irma, but recreational facilities have been unaffected or already repaired. The park is dog-tolerant and there is a nearby City dog park. There are lots of social/sports activities such as shuffle board, pickle ball, yoga, crafts, horse shoes, bocce ball, and cocktails. There are many food stores and shops nearby, as well as movie theaters and music venues. The sites are well spaced for multiple slides with concrete patios and gravel for the RV. The WiFi is terrible and a constant topic of complaint, so bring your own if you can. It is a great place to stay for short or long stays.
