Linger Lodge RV Resort is a classic Florida campground situated between loops of the Braden River in a quiet residential area. The park has recently undergone a major renovation, with fresh white cement pads, a laundry salon, clubhouse, a big caged pool and spa, a beautiful new dog park and ample green space for dog-walking. The restaurant onsite has been around since the middle of the last century and serves excellent lunches and dinners, inside or out on the deck overlooking the kayak launch. The campground is a short drive to downtown Sarasota, Florida Studio Theatre, the VanWezel, University Town Center Mall and many other cultural amenities. The beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key are also accessible within a half-hour. The sites are not angled which makes it harder to back onto the majority of the lots, but most have two strips of concrete to park on, small patios, and narrow lots. The drive from Route 70 to the campground is thru a residential neighborhood, but the staff are very friendly and the managers are happy and helpful. The campground is not the most modern, but it has full hook-ups, a great restaurant, and is close enough to civilization for a few nights stay.

Linger Lodge is an RV park and restaurant located in Bradenton, Florida, on the northern bank of the Braden River. The park dates back to 1945 and started as a 100-acre fishing and canoeing campground. Today, it draws visitors from all over with its Old Florida charm and cozy riverside atmosphere. Nestled between a thick jungle, close to many different activities, and home to a ton of new amenities, the Linger Lodge is the perfect getaway spot. Whether it’s for a longer stay or just a few days — you’re always welcome at the Linger Lodge.
