What others are saying about this campground
The host was very friendly and helpful. We were able to fish from the shore and there were two large alligators that lived on the other side of the lake. The sites are all huge and private, with plenty of shade and close proximity to the bathrooms. We had a great time and will definitely return. This campground is a peaceful and secluded getaway located in Apalachicola National Forest. It features 11 spacious sites, with a few offering electric hookups. The sites are well-spaced and provide plenty of privacy, as well as shade. The lake offers great fishing and a swimming area, although visitors should be aware of the two alligators that live on the other side of the lake. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, with flush toilets and hot showers. The campground host is friendly and helpful, and visitors should be sure to make reservations online or by phone. The two-mile dirt road to the campground can be rough, but the scenery is worth it. There is no cell phone signal for Verizon, so visitors should plan accordingly. This is a great spot for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
