What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located in a Florida State Park that is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including gopher tortoises and copperheads. The campground is small and cozy and the bathrooms are clean. The rangers are friendly and the views are beautiful. Unfortunately, the raccoons are very bold and will take anything that is not secured down. The RV spots are close together but have water and electric. There are hiking trails that are suitable for the whole family and an antebellum mansion to tour. This is a great place to stay for peace and quiet and to explore the natural beauty of Florida.

From The Campground

Torreya State Park is a scenic park located in Florida, known for its high bluffs overlooking the Apalachicola River. The park offers camping, hiking, picnicking, and bird-watching activities. The park is named after the rare Torreya tree that grows only on the bluffs along the Apalachicola River. The park plays a critical role in preserving unique plant and animal species and natural communities that are of regional importance, and protecting the water quality of the Apalachicola River. The park's ecosystems continue to recover from Hurricane Michael, and visitors can expect to see exceptional scenic vistas, well-maintained hiking trails, attractive camping opportunities, and well-equipped picnic areas.
