Carefree Resorts is a large RV Resort located in the small town of Bushnell, Florida. It is a great destination for snowbirds and day campers alike, offering a variety of activities, such as music events, exercise classes, bingo, cards, quilt shows, dancing, and church services. The sites are mostly a sand/grass mix, and are full of sand spurs, making walking a dog a treacherous act. Pull-through sites are available, with full hookups, 20/30/50 electric, water, sewer, and cable TV. The park has many big trees which make for nice shady dog walks, and there is a super Wal-Mart across from the park for groceries and other necessities. Unfortunately, the sites are right next to I-75 and the highway noise can be quite loud. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the office staff can be not well informed and bordering on rude at times. WIFI is not available, so you will need to use your cellular data plan.
