Flat Creek Family Campground, located West of Tallahassee and just off I-10, is an excellent choice for a quiet and shady getaway. Although the playground is small and old, the dog park is incredibly huge and well-maintained. The pool is small but clean and refreshing, and the workout equipment is nice too. The bathrooms are clean and functional, and the Verizon signal is good. The sites provide full hook-ups and are mostly level, each having its own picnic table and fire ring. The staff is friendly, and there is a general store that offers a lending library of books, puzzles, and DVDs. For bird watchers, there are plenty of songbirds in the surrounding trees and a nature trail for exploring. If you are looking for a stopover or a break from the road, then Flat Creek Family Campground is an ideal choice.
