This campground is located on an island in the middle of the Everglades National Park and has been around for over 150 years. It is owner-operated and each lot is individually owned and landscaped. The roads are very narrow and tight, making it difficult for large rigs to maneuver. The amenities are well-maintained, including a large clubhouse, fitness center, 3 pools with spas, boat launch facilities, tennis courts, shuffleboard, laundry, and bathhouses. There are weekly BBQs, bingo, and card games. The marina is a popular launch site for boats and the resort has a restaurant and Cuban restaurant nearby. The sites are equipped with concrete pads, double water connections, 30/50 amp, and sewer. Each site is landscaped with tropical plants, palm trees, and lawns, and many have decks with views of the water. The resort is very well maintained and garbage is picked up daily. WiFi is available and the restrooms and showers are spotless. It can be pricey, but it is a great location with lots to do nearby.
