What others are saying about this campground
The sites are close together and the road to the campground is tight for a big rig. There is a bath house with showers but no laundry. There is a boat ramp and a fish cleaning station. Newport Park and Campground is a small county campground located on the St. Marks River, directly across the street from the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. It offers 6 electric (30 & 50 amp)/water sites for $22/night and 11 primitive sites for $11/night. The campground is conveniently located for many outdoor activities, such as fishing, tubing, bird watching, walking, kayaking, biking, hunting, and canoeing. It is also close to Wakulla State Forest, Wakulla Springs State Park, and is only 30 minutes from Tallahassee. The campground is well maintained and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The roads and sites are packed dirt and the water, electric, and Wi-Fi work fine. The campground is tight for a big rig and some sites flood, so it is best to talk to the camp host about the best sites to avoid flooding, especially if you are tent camping. There is a bath house but it is shared with travelers on Highway 98, and there is no laundry. There is a boat ramp and a fish cleaning station. The campground is a great place for families and outdoor activities.
