This campground is located in a great location just one block off US-1 and the entrance to the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park at Flamingo. It offers a monthly rate of $425 and weekly rate of $170 which includes electric, and a maximum stay of 6 months for new comers. The transient area is a grassy field which is kept mowed and there are very few sites for short term use. The bathrooms are newly tiled, although they need some TLC, and the washer and dryer work well. The park is quiet at night and the people are friendly, however the park is near a very bad neighborhood and there is no nighttime security, so it is not recommended to stay here. There is no pool, but there is a playground and pavilion. The assistant manager is very helpful and friendly and can give directions to the keys and everglades. The Super Wal-Mart & Home Depot are just a block away as are other shopping and dining.
