Salt Springs Recreation Area is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. Located in the Ocala National Forest in central Florida, this park offers a variety of activities such as fishing, canoeing, snorkeling, swimming, biking, hiking, bird watching, photography and more. There is a boat ramp and kayaking can be done in the spring river. Nearby amenities include a grocery store, gas station, restaurants, post office, laundromat, and a dollar store. The staff are professional and friendly and the area is very clean with little mosquito activity. There is no laundry on site, but there is a laundromat at a nearby mall. T-Mobile customers should be aware that there is no service in the area.
