Calusa Cove is the perfect oasis for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. This campground features open spaces to walk around with your family, a 5 ft alligator in a pond, and access to a National Park. The owners keep the property very clean and safe, and the views at night are spectacular. Although there are no amenities like a pool, the lack of people and crowds make up for it. The RV sites are a bit irregular, just grassy areas with hookups, and there are no bathrooms or showers, so you must have a self contained unit. There are some long trails out of the back of the park, and it is a great place to bring a dog and mountain bikes. The campground owner is very courteous and helpful, and is trying to improve the campground all the time.
