GenieSummary

No amenities, no pool, no recreation center, no nicely groomed public areas and lots, no shade, no trees. Red ants are bad, so be careful with pets. Management is terrible, unless you like the Used Car Salesman approach to customer service. This campground is located in Fort Pierce, a city with heritage trails for Zora Neal Hurston and the Highwaymen painters. It offers 10 spacious sites in full sun, which is great for satellite but can be warm in midsummer. You can walk or bike across the causeway to wonderful restaurants, and a great seafood place is just .3 miles away. Unfortunately, there are no amenities at this campground, and the red ants can be a problem, so pets should be kept away. The management is not great, and multiple thefts have occurred at the RV park, marina, and storage facility. There are frequent events in the empty space on the grounds next to the RV sites, and people bring their boats for fishing. The view is beautiful, the sites are large, and the grounds staff are fabulous, but the yards are not taken care of, with lots of weeds and ants. Security is an issue, so campers should lock their doors and not leave anything outside at night.

From The Campground

Causeway Cove Marina is the newest marina, RV resort, and premier event venue on the Treasure Coast. It is conveniently located right off the Intracoastal Water on the northern tip of South Hutchinson Island, with breathtaking views of the Indian River Lagoon. The property accommodates mariners and RV enthusiasts on 43 acres of land and water, developed with you in mind. Inshore fishing and boating is at your doorstep. Offshore fishing is just around the corner – the Fort Pierce Inlet is considered by many to be the best on the east coast of Florida. Adventure across the street to two popular attractions, the St. Lucie County Aquarium and the Ft. Pierce Historical Society, or head out to the Jetty where you’ll find beautiful waterfront bars and restaurants.
