What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located in Leesburg, FL, near the popular Leesburg Bike Fest and attractions like old Florida towns. It has a small network of hiking trails, a playground, and a picnic area with horseshoes and volleyball net. It has a boat ramp, kayak rentals, and access to Lake Griffin via kayaks. The campground is packed in April during the Leesburg Bike Fest, but is peaceful and quiet the rest of the year. The sites are separated with trees and brush, have picnic tables and fire pits, and vary in size. The roads in the park can be a little tight for big rigs, but are manageable with some care. The campground has a diligent camp host present, and is kept very clean. There is some traffic noise due to the proximity of the park to a main highway, but once you are in the park, the road noise is not bad. The bathrooms are locked and clean, with good showers and hot water. The water pressure and electric supply are both good and conveniently located. There is also evidence of a drainage issue in the past. The only strange thing about the park is that the loop can only exit through the dump station.
