What others are saying about this campground
Overall, a great place to stay if you dont need hookups. This campground is a great option for those looking for a convenient, quiet place to stay near Gainesville. It offers water and electric hookups, as well as free WiFi and complimentary canoes. The natural setting is beautiful and relaxing, and all sites have a water view. Unfortunately, it is not the best place for large RVs, as the spaces are close and tight. Additionally, there is no dump or sewer hook up. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the price is reasonable. However, there is no toilet, and the „bathroom“ and shower are not the best. Mosquitos can be an issue, depending on the time of year. The campground is close to the highway and the Gainesville-Hawthorne rail trail, making it a great home base for exploring the area. Fishing is great, and Depot Park is nearby for music and beer.

From The Campground
Kate's Fish Camp is a small campground that accommodates RVs and pull-behinds. All of their sites are pull-through, and they have a large area for turning around. The campground is located near Prairie Creek, which is passable by canoe/kayak from Newnan’s Lake to Hwy 234, with a few portages depending on water levels. The owners, Mike and Monica, are friendly and welcoming. The campground has good water pressure and wifi. They offer homemade soap samples to their guests.
