This campground is a great place to stay for a few days. It is managed by the SW Florida Water Mgmt District and offers primitive, RV, and equestrian camping. The campground is large and open, allowing you to pick any spot you like. There are no hook-ups, but there is a dump station near the entrance and potable water spigots placed around the area. The campground is also close to Lake Okeechobee and has access to trails that are well-maintained. There are metal fire pits with grates for cooking, and each site has a fire ring with grid and a picnic table. DuPuis Management Area is a beautiful campground located in Canal Point, Florida. It offers equestrian access, paddocks and barns, a nature center, and a bicycling trail. The campground is easily accessible from I-95 and S.R. 76. It is a great place for backpacking, hiking, and bird watching. The area is also home to the endangered Red-Cockaded Woodpecker. Visitors can enjoy water conservation, year-round rule, and educational center. Volunteering opportunities are also available.
