What others are saying about this campground
The campground is well maintained, with plenty of trees and shrubs providing shade. The sites are mostly level, but some require a bit of leveling. The sites are also quite small, so larger RVs may have difficulty finding a spot. The campground has a few amenities, such as a playground, picnic tables, and a dump station. There is also a boat launch, fishing pier, and a beach access point. The beach is a short walk away and is absolutely stunning with white sand and crystal clear water. There is also a nature trail and a bike path that takes you to the beach. The campground is located close to the city of Fernandina Beach, which has plenty of restaurants and shops. Overall, Little Talbot Island campground is a great place to stay for anyone looking for a beach getaway. It offers a variety of activities, from swimming, fishing, and kayaking, to biking, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The campground is well maintained and the beach is stunning. The sites are small, however, and the roads are narrow, so large RVs may have difficulty finding a spot.

From The Campground

Little Talbot Island State Park is a secluded barrier island in Northeast Florida boasting more than 5 miles of pristine beaches and 3 miles of bike trails. Visitors can enjoy beachcombing, surfing, fishing, hiking, birdwatching, kayaking, and camping in a lush forest hammock. The park offers untouched natural beauty and diverse ecosystems for visitors to explore. Due to ongoing erosion and loss of infrastructure, the south end beach area remains closed indefinitely. The Florida Park Service and its partners are working to determine possible solutions with hopes of reopening this area in the future. At the north beach area, boardwalks No. 1 and No. 3 are open, while No. 2 remains closed. The campground is now open but with reduced capacity due to site maintenance.
