What others are saying about this campground
Long Point Campground is a great destination for those looking to explore nature and enjoy peaceful sunrises and sunsets. Located on an island in the Intracoastal Waterway, the campground offers waterfront sites, a playground, and a swimming pond. Amenities include 50 amp service, a camp store, a coin laundry, and a main bathhouse with new showers and restrooms. Late night golf carts with bright LED floodlights keep the campground busy until 4am on Fridays. The campground is ideal for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding, and visitors can even spot dolphins, manatees, ospreys, kingfishers, bald eagles, seagulls, and pelicans out on the water. However, visitors should be aware of the raccoons, mosquitoes, and noseeums that can be found in the area. Additionally, the campground is popular with snowbirds in the winter, making it difficult to get a reservation. Sites are grassy and most are right on the river, but the utilities are often on the wrong side of the camper. There is no sewer, but visitors can make do with blue boys. Despite these drawbacks, Long Point Campground is a great place to camp and explore the area.

From The Campground

Long Point Park Campground is an 84.5-acre conservation area and urban district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon. It is a full-service campground that features shoreline campsites, RV and tent camping, a boat ramp, small fishing dock, and a fish cleaning station. Adjacent to the camping area and connected by a bridge, Scout Island offers more than a mile of nature trails, and primitive youth group camping at a reasonable group rate. The park has a Wildlife Pond, playground, and picnic pavilions. Located across Hwy A1A from ocean beaches, it is near other County parks on the barrier island, and just a short drive from attractions in Sebastian and Vero Beach.
