What others are saying about this campground
Collier Seminole Park is a small, old facility located conveniently close to the Everglades, Naples, and Marco Island. The campground is nicely treed, with palms and hardwoods providing canopy for shade, and undergrowth to give some privacy. There is only one trail within the campground, but just outside is another 6.5 mile trail that winds through cypress swamps and offers a primitive campsite. Mountain bikers have a 3.5 mile trail through a hammock and pine forest. The campground offers an array of activities, including a screened in community room for events and ice cream parties. The sites are a very mixed bag; some small and some even smaller, unlevel gravel, roads a little difficult to navigate in a large rig. There are a few spaces for big RVs, but the park clearly mostly caters to tent campers and small travel trailers. The campground is home to a variety of wildlife, including bears, panthers, bobcats, gators, the invasive python, along with several poisonous snakes. There is easy access to washer, dryer, wood, ice and a screened in area with tables for those buggy nights. The nearest Publix is about 8 miles away, but theres a gas station just west of the Parks main entrance. The bath house across the street was closed, waiting on inspection from being rebuilt from Hurricane Ian. The park is kept clean and well-maintained, but the maintenance people closed ALL the bathrooms for cleaning for up to two hours late mornings every day. The mosquitos can be a problem, so shutter your tent well before sundown. The campground is also close to the road and therefore to its noise, and there are some tight spaces and lots of trees in the wrong places. The front bathrooms located in the rec hall building had been remodeled and were very nice, but there were only two stools, two sinks, and one shower. The playground in the camping area consisted of a metal monkey bar and 4 regular swings (no baby ones). The best things about the park are the people, the staff and volunteers, proximity to Marco Island, Naples and the Everglades.

Collier-Seminole State Park is a historic park in Naples, Florida. The park features a June 2021 bust of Barron Gift Collier commissioned and funded by the Friends of Collier-Seminole State Park and sculpted by Ruben Dario Medina. The park also features the Bay City Walking Dredge, an example of one of the great machines used to construct the first modern road from Tampa to Miami. Visitors can purchase an annual entrance pass at all park ranger stations and museums. The park hosts stargazing events throughout the year, where visitors can view the brilliant stars through the high-powered telescopes of the Everglades Astronomical Society.
