Although the camp is still recovering from hurricane Ian, the campsites are in good shape and offer enough distance between neighbors. The camp roads are fine for bigger rigs, and a couple washers and dryers are available for use. Theres a Publix supermarket nearby and several restaurants within easy driving distance. Although the park is not located on New Smyrna Beach, one of Floridas most beautiful drive-on beaches is just a 15-20 minute drive away. The park marries ancient oaks with swinging palms, providing a forested feel that blocks out the noise from traffic outside of the property. The typical hook-ups (electric, water and sewage) are available for RV’ers, and there are spots available for those who would prefer to tent camp. The park offers amenities such as a swimming pool, free WiFi, and TV, as well as scatterings of relatively new picnic tables and stand-up BBQ grilles. New Smyrna Beach RV Park & Campground is perfect for those attending events in Daytona or watching rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center. Central Florida Zoo, which has 116 acres of exotic animals and botanical gardens to explore, is also highly recommended. There are also 25 miles of pristine Atlantic shoreline encompassing the dunes and Mosquito Lagoon, which is one of the state’s longest stretches of undeveloped and protected preserve to explore.
