What others are saying about this campground
Santos Trailhead Campground is a small, 25-site campground located in the suburbs of Ocala, Florida. The campground is situated at the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway and is the perfect alternative to Silver Springs State Park, which is just 20 minutes away. The sites are spread out, gravel, and mostly shaded, with 50 amp and water, but no sewer system. There are picnic tables and fire rings, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The campground is ideal for mountain biking, with 85 miles of trails, 3 levels of difficulty, and a free riding area. There is also a pump track and skills course for kids. The campground is also close to the Silver River, where visitors can paddle and explore the numerous smaller springs. The only downside is the train noise, including repeatedly blowing the horn multiple times during the night.
