This campground is an older park situated on a creek with a boat ramp, heated pool, screened in patio, community firepit, huge rec room, and a new gym area. The roads are a bit tight for larger RVs but the RV pads are spacious, graveled, and well-leveled with picnic tables and grills. The staff is accommodating and friendly and the park is clean. The wifi is weak at the sites but better by the pool. There is a 10% discount for AAA, CAA, AARP, Good Sam and veterans. The park is 4 miles from Publix Grocery and Walmart, Home Depot, Tractor Supply and Harbor Freight are all just minutes away. There is also a great cycling and hiking trail nearby. The sites are close together with no shade and there is constant traffic noise. The power and water are good but there were a few power failures. There are lots of friendly people and activities.

Zachary Taylor Waterfront RV Resort is located just 300 yards from Lake Okeechobee, the second largest freshwater lake in the continental U.S. The resort offers spacious site options including a half mile of waterfront and water views, both with full hookups, and patio sites. The area is known for its world-famous fishing, including the finest bass fishing in the world. The resort offers 109 boat docks adjacent to our waterfront sites. The resort is surrounded by the rich history and tropical wildlife of southern Florida. Enjoy the beautiful tropical scenery on a walk around the resort, the quiet, the fresh air, and the solitude during your stay. The ocean beaches, shopping, dining, and numerous popular sites are all within a short drive. Community is important to us. Zachary Taylor is home to an active and friendly group of guests, with planned activities from live dinner music on holidays and weekends (seasonal) to gathering around our community campfire. Enjoy tournaments, bingo, and poker runs. Or, try a gator race! Take a leisurely boat ride from the resort and enjoy the wildlife areas. We also offer guided tours upon request.
