What others are saying about this campground
Ocean Pond is a great, quiet and off the beaten path campground located in north central Florida. It is divided into 3 sections: sites 1-19 are large full-hookup sites ($30/$15 Senior Pass), 20-47 are water-only sites with bathrooms, flush toilets and showers nearby ($20/$10 Senior Pass), and 48-67 are primitive sites with bathrooms and water nearby ($12/$6 Senior Pass). The campground is near The Florida National Trail, a footpath from the south to the north of Florida. It is a great place for a big group camping, family reunion and other activities. There is a boat ramp and a small swimming beach, and the morning views are the best with the fog setting on top of the water. The campground is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a stay limit of 30 days and the sites are level and widely spaced with a fire ring available. It is a great spot for avid travelers, and the access to trails, great birding, and flat spacious sites make it a great place to stay.
