What others are saying about this campground
Tomoka State Park is a beautiful, natural Florida state park located between the Tomoka and Halifax Rivers. It offers wooded, shaded sandy sites, some with river or fishing access. There is a popular boat launch with outpost store between the campground and the Indian village historical marker and monument at the northern tip of the park. The campground features kayak and canoe rentals, a camp store that sells local craft beers on tap, a grocery store and gift shop nearby, and a dump station. The park also features a variety of walking trails, a historical Tomoki statue, and access to the Halifax River. The maximum length for a rig is 34 feet with a height restriction of 12.5 ft (overhanging trees), but there were a few motorhomes and 5th wheels in there that exceeded both. The park is typical old Florida style with narrow inner roads, lots of thick underbrush, and a get back to nature feel. It is a great place to enjoy nature, fish, kayak, and bike.

From The Campground

Tomoka State Park is a beautiful park located in Ormond Beach, Florida. The park is a bird-watcher's paradise, with over 160 species sighted, especially during the spring and fall migrations. Visitors can stroll a half-mile nature trail through a hardwood hammock that was once an indigo field for an 18th-century British landowner. The park protects a variety of wildlife habitats and endangered species such as the West Indian manatee. A boat ramp gives boaters and canoeists access to the river. The park store offers snacks, camping supplies and canoe rentals. For overnight stays, the park has full-facility campsites and youth camping.
