The Surf RV Resort in Palmetto, FL hits it out of the park in all areas. It is a relatively new park and the sites are well-planned, wide, and have great landscaping that is meticulously maintained. The pool is small, but has a lot of sitting area. The resort has daily food trucks that serve up a wide variety of food throughout the day. Staff members are great and the 24/7 security at the front gate is welcoming and helpful. The resort offers free exercise classes and pickleball lessons, and some paid classes and events, which are very reasonably priced. Food trucks are on site, and the resort is waiting for its liquor license so you will need to BYOB (bring your own beverages). The Surf has great Wi-Fi and cable. The resort is located in a great spot to use as a base camp for the Tampa Bay/Sarasota area. They are working on start-up issues, but management is listening and looking to continually improve.
