Winterset RV Park is a great place to stay for a weekend or for the winter. It is located near Bradenton and has easy access to Tampa/St. Pete and Ruskin. The park is mostly full of park models, with a few dozen RV spots available. There is an “Island” section with shade, water, and electric only. The sites are mostly grass with patios and tables, and are mostly level. The roads are paved and easy to navigate. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is a recreation/multi-use hall with a variety of activities. The park is well-kept and has a nice pool, creek for kayaking, shuffleboard, and pickleball courts. There is a train track nearby and a train that passes by several times a day. The only drawbacks are that the office is only open on weekdays and the voltage can drop when demand increases.
