The park is meticulously maintained, with crews preparing campsites within 15 minutes of someones departure. The park is home to abundant wildlife, including deer, and is a great spot for bird watching. There are also nature trails and a well-stocked camp store. The sites have some shade with pine trees and sand/dirt ground coverings, and each site has a fire pit and picnic table. There are no sewer hookups, but there are heated and air conditioned shower houses and three different dump stations. The beaches are sublime, with sugar sand, emerald water, and plenty of room to spread out. The campground also has a private beach and access to a fishing jetty and swimming beach. The park is close to Panama City attractions, restaurants, hotels, and fish markets. However, due to the narrow roads and low-hanging branches, maneuvering into your campsite can be difficult. Additionally, the sites can be close together and lack vegetation for privacy or shade. There are also minor annoyances at the campground, such as loud music and barking dogs. Despite this, St. Andrews State Park is a great spot to enjoy nature and relax.

With the Gulf of Mexico on one side and St. Andrews Bay on the other, visitors can enjoy five distinct ecological landscapes in one stunning location.
